July Friends of Library
meets on June 30th at 9 am
Wine In The Garden Annual Event Saturday, July 15, 2017
Markleeville Community Park from 4 to 8 PM
Tickets $20 at the Park or in July at the Library.
The main function of the Friends of the Library is to augment the programs and events of the County Library system. They help fund Summer Reading programs, monthly Book Clubs and writing workshops. Likewise they provide financial support for library events such as children’s Storytimes, Author Visits, the annual Teddy Bear Parade, and summer Music in the Park series. In addition to programming and events, the Friends fund the purchase of tables, shelving units, signage, magazine subscriptions, and many other items that help the Library thrive. Without the support of the Friends, our Libraries would be very hollow indeed!
